[Bug 836780] New: kiwi: make the partition based install mode smarter
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=836780 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=836780#c0 Summary: kiwi: make the partition based install mode smarter Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: System Imaging AssignedTo: ms@suse.com ReportedBy: ms@suse.com QAContact: adrian@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- if the partition based install code finds out there are more partitions than required or more than one partition required it offers a selection to the user which is ok but not really smart. The function OEMFindPartitions() should also provide the information which partition(s) can be used to store the data of each image partition. e.g: /dev/sda1 : mbsize,partid,/dev/loop0:BOOT,/dev/loop1:EFI /dev/sda2 : mbsize,partid,/dev/loop0:BOOT,/dev/loop1:EFI,/dev/loop2:ROOT that way the selection menu can offer partitions only for image partitions which fits into it and not for example the ROOT partition on sda1 which is too small -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
