[Bug 276446] New: TextTools plugin doesn't exist for jedit 4.2final
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=276446 Summary: TextTools plugin doesn't exist for jedit 4.2final Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 4 Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 Applications AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: balazs.melikant@univie.ac.at QAContact: sndirsch@novell.com CC: balazs.melikant@univie.ac.at Previously I reported this as a feature request to integrate the very nice TextTools plugin into jedit, which in fact never happened:( This alone would be no problem, but for the jedit version 4.2final, shipping now with openSUSE 10.3 alpha 4, none of the "official" ways provide any TextTools plugin for download: - opening the plugin manager doesn't contain _any_ TextTools plugin, and - http://plugins.jedit.org/plugins/?TextTools has no file particularly for this version... Please feel free to close this report if you think its overkill, but would save a lot of time for people to have this cool Text-related plugin packaged. (I don't remember to use any other GUI text-editors having the possibility to order a list on several various ways e.g. with deleting duplicate lines as well.) Hint: TextTools v1.2 from the following page http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=64089 works well, if one simply packages the TextTools.jar into the main rpm as /usr/share/jedit/jars/TextTools.jar -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=276446 ------- Comment #1 from balazs.melikant@univie.ac.at 2007-05-21 14:59 MST ------- Created an attachment (id=141331) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=141331&action=view) TextTools is THERE now! Great news: the main repository http://plugins.jedit.org/plugins/?TextTools has been fixed now (special thanks for Alan Ezust!) and the Plugin Manager of jedit 4.2final shows the TextTool plugin:) The _not_ so nice thing Alan also just mentioned at the end of his e-mail is:
PS: I highly recommend using development version of jedit, 4.2 final has not been updated in a long time.
