In opensuse 10.3, installing software becomes very swift and easy(I find it to be as fast as smart sometimes). However uninstalling packages is still a mess. For example, I want to remove package kdenetwork3-news because I don't use this tool and I don't want it to waste my disk space. http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/2704/snapshot1zy6.jpg I got this window: http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/7060/snapshot2wd6.jpg First problem: not newbie friendly If I choose: delete kde_internet, I will lost konversation and other packages too, which is not my will. From an experienced user point of view, it's obvious that the good choice here is to ignore the requirement because the experienced user will know that package kdenetwork3-news is not required to run other apps. However, form a newbie point of view, this alert window would be nothing but confusing. Second problem: time consuming Deleting kdenetwork3-news is not a big problem because it doesn't have a lot of dependencies. However, if I want to remove for example the entire kde desktop, it could become very long to check every option in the alert window. Proposal: offering a default proposal with 3 options: accept, modify, and cancel.
