Is $LOAD_OSS_EMUL_MODULE set to yes? There is definitely no change regarding OSS emulation module code. The difference of volume should be just a coincidence. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The difference in volume between 11.2 and 11.3 when using mplayer is not trivial. Playing the same DVD, under 11.2 it is possible to set the playback volume to an uncomfortably loud level. Under 11.3, the maximum volume is too low to make it possible to hear much speech - certainly not usable. This problem may be unrelated to the missing /dev/dsp, but it needs to be overcome. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
