[Bug 702247] New: in OS 12.1M2, root mode krusader fails to load with error about exporting $(dbus-launch)
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=702247 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=702247#c0 Summary: in OS 12.1M2, root mode krusader fails to load with error about exporting $(dbus-launch) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: RC 2 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: linxt@comcast.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:5.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/5.0 Root mode krusader fails to start from icon. Further, when attempting to start from cli the following message appears: root@laptop= /root # krusader KGlobal::locale::Warning your global KLocale is being recreated with a valid main component instead of a fake component, this usually means you tried to call i18n related functions before your main component was created. You should not do that since it most likely will not work krusader(2730): Session bus not found To circumvent this problem try the following command (with Linux and bash) export $(dbus-launch) KCrash: Application 'krusader' crashing... KCrash: Attempting to start /usr/lib64/kde4/libexec/drkonqi from kdeinit sock_file=/root/.kde4/socket-laptop/kdeinit4__0 [1]+ Stopped krusader **** This behaviour also was present in 12.1M1 but not in previous versions. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Attempt to start krusader (root mode) from icon fails 2.Attempt to start krusader (root mode) from cli fails with prior message 3. Actual Results: Krusader will not start in root mode unless $(dbus-launch) is exported first Expected Results: $(dbus-launch) should be exported prior to starting krusader in root mode -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
