https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=227460 Summary: yast should block auto mount when changing disc Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bluedzins@wp.pl QAContact: jsrain@novell.com KDE 3.5.5, opensuse 10.2 Let's say I have to install software from CD1 and CD2. There might be more CD devices in the system, one device can be used for installing software the other one can be used for playing music etc. and auto notification should be enabled to play it automatically. And even if you have just one device you might want to do another task after installing from CD1 which requires notification enabled and then continue from CD2... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=227460 ------- Comment #2 from bluedzins@wp.pl 2006-12-11 03:24 MST ------- I am not saying to block all auto-mounts, but for this drive. Let's say there is CD1 in drive-X, now the user has to insert CD2 * insertion of CD2 * konqueror pops up * close konq. * click ok * insert. of CD3 * konqueror pops up * close konq. * click ok and so on... Maybe there is another solution, but for sure -- this is very annoying (and confusing users -- because you have to know, that this popup is not intended side-effect). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
