Samba is running. : sudo /etc/init.d/smb status Checking for Samba SMB daemon running I was able to share the folder after logging in as root: but that is not the intended way, I guess. I was able to share the folder using nautilus, but that, I believe is because of : nautilus-share plugin(I am not sure what it does internally). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I was able to share the folders. So, it might be something that works on KDE4. I logged into kde3 session, and was able to share directories. I guess, this bug is not there after all. Might have been a case that required restart of kde session after starting smb daemon. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
