However after updating to the latest KDE 4.3 NetworkManager packages the connections also works with the KNetworkManager. I can't say why it is working sometimes and sometimes not. With kvpnc it works every time, so it can't be the connection. How do i come to the log files Michael posted? Where are they? In /var/log i found nothing. Thanks -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I also had this problem first and with latest KDE 4.3 it also worked... but only sometimes. I can't say why it is working sometimes and sometimes not. With kvpnc it works every time, so it can't be the connection.
Please first try with nm-applet to make sure that it is a bug in knetworkmanager and not one in the underlying NetworkManager.
How do i come to the log files Michael posted? Where are they? In /var/log i found nothing.
the logs of NetworkManager are in /var/log/NetworkManager If it works with nm-applet but not with Knetworkmanager please attach the dbus connection settings as described here: http://userbase.kde.org/NetworkManagement#It.27s_All_KDE.27s_Fault.21 to the new bug report.
