Once you've removed it, or otherwise made it inoperable, it's not "deprecated" anymore, it's "removed" or "sunsetted". And the reason why I care, Stephan, is that which release it was planned not to be in anymore was not noticed anywhere, and I wasted over a day -- since 12.3 has a separate brown paper bag bug on grub2 -- doing the install, which I wouldn't have bothered to do, had the release notes (which I did read in advance like a good boy) said "As we've been telling you for 3 releases now, sysVinit is no longer supported in this release; it's not installable, and packages which need to start at boot are no longer guaranteed to come with initscripts, in favor of scrips for systemd"... as best release practices say they should have. I would have installed 12.2, instead. But please do understand, this bug isn't about "you left a paragraph out of the release notes". It's about "openSUSE has gone from having the best release management planning and practices to back up its code, to having the worst, and I can no longer deploy it or recommend it... because I can't *trust* it anymore from release to release".
