[Bug 1192290] Switch of system language: no language files installed
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1192290 https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1192290#c17 --- Comment #17 from Michael Andres <ma@suse.com> --- (In reply to Maurizio Galli from comment #15)
My understanding here is not a packaging problem but rather lang packages not being installed. Axel confirmed to me that installing lang packages resolves his issues.
The point is, that if the packages would 'correctly' indicate which languages they support, it would work out of the box. Even if 'no-recommends' is used. I.e. if you change the locale settings in YAST (or with zypper addlocale / removelocale), the package set would be adapted accordingly.
The Xfce lang packages in both Leap and TW are generated in the rpm spec file via the %lang_package macro.
As shown above, in TW I see the 'locale()' provides, in Leap not. If this is not intended and actually the same spec files are used, it may be a OBS issue as well. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
