I was previously using garnome 2.16.2 which has evolution-2.8.2.1 and evolution-pilot-2.8.2.1 contained within. Syncing evolution to the treo worked fine using these pkgs under OpenSUSE 10.1. So I built rpms for evolution-2.8.2.1 and evolution-pilot-2.8.2.1 using the evolution.spec from the "stock" shipped source rpms applying the patches that the garnome distribution utilizes. The patches applied to the evolution pilot conduits are probably are what are broken in the distribution release.
