https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=308516 Summary: gcc used for latest kernel is newer than kernel provided by YAST Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: martin@oneiros.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- When trying to update vmware to kernel 2.6.16.53-0.8-smp, I get these message: Your kernel was built with "gcc" version "4.1.2", while you are trying to use "/usr/bin/gcc" version "4.1.0". This configuration is not recommended and VMware Workstation may crash if you'll continue. Please try to use exactly same compiler as one used for building your kernel. Do you want to go with compiler "/usr/bin/gcc" version "4.1.0" anyway? [no] So, where can I get a gcc 4.1.2 for 10.1? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
