[Bug 344929] New: autoinstall nfs mount broken
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=344929 Summary: autoinstall nfs mount broken Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: 64bit OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: AutoYaST AssignedTo: ug@novell.com ReportedBy: vega42@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Integration Test While setting up an auto-installation routine fur SuSE 10.3 I ran into problems with the nfs-mount. The clients receive via DHCP and tftpboot everything necessary to boot, but when the autoyast installation routine tries to mount the installation source via nfs it returns error messages. So I tried to mount manually from tty2 and realized, that the portmap and rpc.statd deamon where not running. After starting these manually, I was able to mount the nfs export. So what I'm wondering now is how to patch this or if anyone else has similar problems. I guess that one would have to tweak the kernel image somewhat, so that it starts the protmap and rpc.statd deamons but I'm not quite sure yet. The kernel I took for the procedure is from the installation image which worked fine with 10.1 and 10.2. I posted regarding this issue already on the opensuse-autoinstall mailing list and at: http://forums.suselinuxsupport.de/index.php?act=ST&f=20&t=63305 (which is basically copied here) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
