https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=734294 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=734294#c0 Summary: Qinternet gives no dailin option after a hangup and "cinternet -i eth0 -A" under systemd doesnt work Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: moniquevanderhave@versatel.nl QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=465412) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=465412) Lnussel asked to include ifcfg file User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:8.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0 Problem lays in smpppd with systemd select hangup in Qinternet but dailin stays gray and not selectable and "cinternet -i eth0 -A" does not work Same goes for with sysV select hangup in Qinternet but dailin stays gray and not selectable But a "cinternet -i eth0 -A" works under sysV wich makes network working I looked in Gitorius-smpppd and looked in "daemonize later to catch errors commit-5dfa438 in smpppd.cc" placed "new Detach section" on the old place and did a compile Wich does work ,but only with sysV then Qinternet nicely does a Hangup/Dailin Yet again it fails with systemd and "cinternet -i eth0 -A" still not working Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Do a Hangup with Qinternet and try to Dailin wich stays gray as not selectable 2. "cinternet -i eth0 -A" only works with sysV wich makes a connected network 3. "cinternet -i eth0 -A" doesnt work with systemd so stays a disconnected network Actual Results: Network is dissconnected and stays so until i do a "cinternet -i eth0 -A" in console with sysV But with systemd need to "rcnetwork restart" and "rcsmpppd restart" Expected Results: Qinternet should do a Hangup/Dailin as in past releases of opensuse Fixed it for me with Gitorius-smpppd in "daemonize later to catch errors commit-5dfa438 smpppd.cc" placed "new Detach section" on the old Detach section did this on the commit-9f75a76 ,so link against libcrypto instead of libssl is included Wich makes Qinternet function as expected but only under sysV -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
