The reason for this is it would affect all boot image descriptions in kiwi and therefore will have an impact on all projects using kiwi in SLE11... this is too dangerous :) 3) With the solution of your own boot image package issue 2) is not really problematic _BUT_ I can't simply obsolete your xenboot package as it is referenced to ec2 exclusively. There are other people who use kernel-xen for the reason of their own Xen system and not ec2.
