http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=975211 Bug ID: 975211 Summary: ModemManager fail support for Dell DW5811e Snapdragon™ X7 LTE Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: bruno@ioda-net.ch QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Nor ModemManager nor the kernel contain bits to make a sucessfull use of DW5811e Snapdragon™ X7 LTE (usb id : 413c:2134) They are found for example in my new (December 2015) laptop Precision workstation M7510 The support of those rebranded wwan was asked here https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/modemmanager/+bug/1441095 And seems to be supported on Ubuntu plateform (one of the supported os in selling Dell brochure). I've tried to package (by overpassing polkit policy) the newer ModemManager and libqmi https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/home:bruno_friedmann:branches:GNOME:...
