Yes, I was able to reproduce the crash soon after log into KDE 4 desktop (sometimes but not always). I attached short Xorg.log for clearness. This bug seems to be related to Intel SNA. I was able to workaround the problem by switching driver to legacy Intel UXA mode. And it is fixed now, I guess. At least I cannot reproduce the crash after applying the following patch: federico@suse.com - U_sna-glyph-null-deref.patch Fix crash on PRIME setups when executing empty glyph strings (bnc#906972) Thank you for your support! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 906972 *** -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

See another attached Xorg.log. P.S. Currently, I have no possibility to test this using Leap on the same hardware. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

If this version is still installed you can find out by running: 'rpm -q xf86-video-intel'. If you don't know if it was generated with this or a previous version, please obtain the currently installed version and recreate the log file. I've created a test package for you to test in http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/eeich:/Test/openSUSE_13.2 It has the latest GIT version of this package and some added debugging code. Please test and see if issue still occurs. If it does, please get me the log file. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

So, I've done the following: 1. Add your test repo, zypper dup and reboot. Then rpm -q has returned xf86-video-intel-2.99.917.git_da9ad388a06-6.1.x86_64. I was unable to reproduce the crash... 2. Disable test repo, zypper dup and reboot. rpm -q has returned xf86-video-intel-2.99.916-15.1.x86_64. After that I've reproduce the crash twice with same results. 3. Repeat point 1 - so, rpm -q has returned xf86-video-intel-2.99.917.git_da9ad388a06-6.1.x86_64 once again. And again: no crashes! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

This means the issue is probably fixed. In the long list of fixes there was nothing that caught my eye glancing over it. Let's go to 2.99.917 and see what this does. You can find it under the same location once the build is done. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
