Created attachment 853273 [details] tigerlake supportconfig from fresh sles15sp3 install
I have attached here of the supportconfig on TigerLake that we are running into problem with while performing the SLES15SP3 installation with the Displaylink monitor attached.
Summary -SLE15SP3 / eWOK attached - Kernel 5.3.18-57-default 1. Result : Installation unsuccessful , see error message :
' An error occurred during the installation' after hardware detection.(refer to jed_i7_error_1.jpg)
Error msg captured. (refer to jed_i7_error_msg_.jpg) i. 'xxxxx (core dumped) Xorg -noreset ............. ' ii. 'xxxxx (core dumped) $OPT_FBITERM y2start ............. '
2. Video upload path https://www.dropbox.com/s/rynsk571hid4gf9/ jed__i7_SLE15SP3_Installation_process.mp4?dl=0 3. SupportConfig refer to scc_localhost_211001_0247.txz This is collected from system installation without Displaylink connected first, then connect the displaylink monitor subsequently after installation, displaylink monitor could work.
This behaviour of Tiger Lake is slightly different from Comment#6's hardware of Kaby Lake, that see the error screen before user could not even get to the state for selection for SLES or SLED. Not sure if the default use is already X11 that causes it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
