[Bug 410615] New: mount.nfs not accepting security option
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=410615 Summary: mount.nfs not accepting security option Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: toddrme13@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Customer I am having a problem mounting nfs and nfs4 shares with security options. When I do the following command (with private information removed): mount -t nfs -o sec=krb5 share.server.com:/vol/folder /ad/folder it returns: mount.nfs: an incorrect mount option was specified I also tried the following fstab entry with the same results: share.server.com:/vol/folder /ad/folder nfs rw,tcp,nolock,sec=krb5 0 0 This is true for whatever sec= option I specify except for sec=none and sec=sys. If I remove the sec= option entirely, or use sec=none or sec=sys, I can mount the share but not access it. Using nfs4 instead of nfs does not change anything, either. The same thing has happened on two different computers so far. I have librpcsecgss and all the krb5 client-related programs installed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
