[Bug 977885] GZIP timestamp in appdata-icons.tar.gz forces a redownload
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=977885 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=977885#c19 --- Comment #19 from Dominique Leuenberger <dimstar@opensuse.org> --- (In reply to Stefan Brüns from comment #18)
The completely unnecessary downloads due to timestamps now have gone.
Thanks for the confirmation
Unfortunately there are still regular downloads probably caused by temporary failing packages, i.e. icons vanish for one snapshot and reappear on the next, but this is a different issue.
I hope it's not only icons, but also the app? - otherwise that would be really strange. The most probably case I know of is two packages providing the same appdata.xml file - as that results in duplicate applications, one is filtered (this happened a while back for silly apps provided as python2 and python3 variants) But I agree: those we have to monitor on a case-by-case and solve what we encounter. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
