Worse, it's concidence. That leads to leaving core dumps in random directories like in the man dir. If the file section of the package was slightly different it would just silently package the core dump. So I guess in case of the build script script systemd in the initrd already does that. I added a check to make spurious core files visible at the end of a build in request 628432.
