http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=507316 Summary: Change in system clock does not reflect in clock panel (upon activating the latter) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Factory Platform: i386 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: gp@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Product Management Starting an old machine after a while I noticed that the system clock was off and fixed that by running sntp. The time as shown by the clock in the panel did not reflect this change immediately, which is not nice, but understandable if we want to avoid polling once a second to save power. However, when selecting/clicking the clock in the panel (revealing the calendar and world clock), the time still was not adjusted but reflected the original time which was 2+ hours of. This is an asychronous event, and if the user explicitly selects the clock I think it would be a fair expectation for the clock to display the actual system time. (I agree this is a bit borderline between usability bug and feature, but this looks more like a three liner in any case?) -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I committed a fix upstream, will be in 11.2.
Cool, thanks Vincent! -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
