[Bug 961470] New: server:mail/mutt: Bug
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=961470 Bug ID: 961470 Summary: server:mail/mutt: Bug Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software Assignee: werner@suse.com Reporter: vmiklos@suse.com QA Contact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Hi, I've recently upgraded from openSUSE 13.2 to Leap 42.1, and I use mutt with two IMAP accounts and the sidebar enabled. The sidebar used to have entries like this: INBOX Foo1 Bar1 INBOX Foo2 Bar2 So it stripped the imaps://imap.example.com/ part of the folder URL. Now Leap has changed this behavior in two ways: 1) Only the active account has the URL stripped, the non-active is shown fully. I don't like this, but one can argue that this way the two INBOX can be differentiated, so let it be. :-) 2) The active account has one more characters stripped, i.e. instead of "INBOX", one gets "NBOX". I've submitted a patch upstream to fix 2), though I haven't got any reply from them. I'll do a SR to fix 2) at least in the server:mail package. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Maybe I should really drop this sidebar patch. It causes trouble on every version update of mutt as there is no fitting patch then.
I'm happy if it can be kept, I use it. :-) I don't mind if it gets disabled with a version update, I can always do a SR to fix and re-enable it. But your decision, in the worst case I can carry on a patched mutt package in my home repo.
BTW: What upstream you mention ... that of mutt or od sidebar?
http://www.lunar-linux.org/mutt-sidebar/ says patches for the sidebar patch should be sent to tchan@lunar-linux.org, I mailed my patch there. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Is your patch already included in or the problem solved in
http://lunar-linux.org/~tchan/mutt/patch-1.5.24.sidebar.20151111.txt
No, it's not. I did two SR against the mutt package recently, the first was updating the sidebar patch to the 20151111 version, as I wanted to make sure the problem I see is still an issue as of the latest linuar-linux patch. That one is already accepted. The issue was still there, that's when I created this bug & the second SR to fix it. I've mailed the linuar-linux address on 2015-12-22 (so it's even consistent that the above patch doesn't fix the problem yet). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
