[Bug 227558] New: Network Monitor lacks for Gnome panel
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=227558 Summary: Network Monitor lacks for Gnome panel Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: nteknikk@monet.no QAContact: qa@suse.de Right click Gnome panel and Add to panel, the Network Monitor (for Gnome NetworkManager) lacks on the menu. It's available on openSUSE 10.1 x86_64. I've verified that the NetworkManager-gnome package is installed, but i.e the command "nm-applet --sm-disable &" doesn't add the applet. (Although I've been able to add Network Monitor applet to the 10.2 i386 Gnome panel, I'm not able to verify where I found it in that menu system) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=227558 ------- Comment #1 from nteknikk@monet.no 2006-12-11 02:07 MST ------- At the same time: I've told the Norwegian translater of Network Monitor (Network Mangager) 06.4 that there is a translation error: Even when Wired Network (Kablet nettverk) is used and shown enabled on the applet menu, the popup info text when pointing on the applet tells "Trådløs nettverskstilkopling" (but correct wired network connection login with English language). I'm informed that this translation error now is fixed in the Gnome CVS. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=227558 jpr@novell.com changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |FIXED ------- Comment #2 from jpr@novell.com 2007-01-03 07:05 MST ------- nm-applet is poorly named, its actually a notification tray icon. It has an autostart file and automatically shows up if the underlying networkmanager daemon is running (and does not show up if the NM daemon is not running). The translation fix we'll pick up for 10.3 by default. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
