Is there any hope for a fix here? The `osc-plugin-install` package is completely non functional on Tumbleweed as is. It feels weird to have a completely non functional package in the official repos. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

The fix above was declined. I have not received an update for `osc-plugin-install`, and it still gives the same error as in the original post here when trying to install things. This really doesn't seem resolved to me...
Hi Dustin, I am following my understanding of the SUSE/openSUSE bug workflow here. https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/page.cgi?id=status_resolution_matrix.html describes "RESOLVED FIXED" as "A resolution is awaiting verification by QA. A fix for this bug is checked in and tested.". In this case that means that an updated package is provided in an OBS project, namely https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:Tools/osc-plugin-install and the submit request (SR) to openSUSE:Factory was provided. It is true that the initial SR was declined and I reworked it and provided superseeding SRs. This is also what "Swamp Workflow Management" reported in the later comments. https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/571699 was now accepted meaning that a next snapshot of openSUSE Tumbleweed should have the updated version of osc-plugin-install included. Could be 20180201. Whenever that is released by openQA (openqa.opensuse.org) then you can have access to the fixed version. If you are impatient you can try out https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:Tools/osc-plugin-install of course. I would appreciate if you check as soon as you have the official upgraded version in your openSUSE Tumbleweed and confirm it working. Then set this bug to VERIFIED FIXED or REOPENED in case the initial problem is not fixed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

I took the chance to create a new forked upstream as Jürgen Weigert, the original author, did not react to my PR. I therefore updated the package in the devel project with https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/715602 and created https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/715603 for a submission to Factory. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
