Booted OpenSuse 11.1 from CD-ROM. Chose "cse" among installation choices such as "Boot from Hard disk", "cse", "Installation", "Repair Installed system", ... 2. System started to probing hardware. It went through "Probe USB devices", "Probe Firewire devices", "Probe floppy disk devices", "Probe hard disk controllers", "Load kernel modules for hard disk controllers". 3. And then failed at "Probe hard disks". 4. The error message is "Error" "No hard disk were found for the installation. Please check your hardware", "6", "OK", "Stop" Additional information: 1. For the same Super Micro server, installation of RedHat and Suse Enterprise edition are OK. 2. For the same OpenSuse 11.1 release, the installation of HP server which is equipped with the same north/south bridge and LSI SAS controller, 1068e is OK. 3. The Super Micro server's SAS controller is LSI's 1068e.
