When you say "when a password changes", do you mean: the application tries to use the old password and fails, a dialog ask for the password and the user types a password that is different from the old password?
Partially correct. When I say "when a password changes" I mean that it tries to use the old password, which fails. However it does not prompt for the new password at all. It just continues to try and use the old password an fail. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

For evo, this is http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=546406 AFAIK, pidgin doesn't use the keyring but stores them in accounts.xml. And it seems to work for NetworkManager here. If there's any other application with this issue, please file an upstream bug if possible. Then would I would put in the new password the keyring would be updated. I no longer get prompted for the new password when the password has changed. This is where the regression exists. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

That part looks like a dupe of bug 327391. gnome-keyring itself would handle the password sync afaik. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The exact same thing happens if you don't save the password in the keyring. So I guess the bug got fixed. Again, for NM, evo, etc. this is a bug in each app. As far as I can tell it works okay here for NM, though. And I linked the upstream bug for evo. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
