The problem was, that when I tried to close the guest window with Datei ->"Beenden"(File -> exit; not file->close), not only the guest window closed, the complete virt-manager closed instead. Can´t believe that this is the behavior intended. I attach the libvirt logs. File -> Quit exits virt-manager completely. This is by design. Do you mean that you closed virt-manager during the installation which terminated the opensuse12 install? Hope that helps a bit-> can´t start program to work it out clearer in the moment. I remove NEEDINFO for now. I ment that I use quit on the openSUSE12 install window -> that also close the virt-manager main window.
That works as designed. The 'Quit' pop-up menu item means quit virt-manager even though it is on the installation window. 'Close' on the same menu closes just the current window or dialog.
