The problem appears in an up-to-date oS 12.2 x86_64 installed from dvd as well as an up-to-date oS 12.2 i586 net-installed in VirtualBox. Logs refer to the latter case, where YaST2 debug mode has been enabled before starting the test. The same problem occurs when I use ncurses; I have not checked using YaST2-gtk. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set PKGMGR_ACTION_AT_EXIT="summary" in /etc/sysconfig/yast2 and change repo-oss in order to keep downloaded packages 2. Start yast2 sw_single and choose a package from repo-oss to delete (e.g., gvim) 3. At the summary, go back and install again the package (gvim) 4. At the summary, go back and delete the package (gvim) 5. At the summary, go back and install again the package (gvim) Actual Results: - In the progress window, no info about package installation is provided; instead the label of the progress bar reports that some unnamed package is being deleted instead of installed. - In the summary window, it is said that the package has been deleted instead of installed; moreover sometimes there is no "Installation log" available, only "Post-Install log (SUSEconfig). About the missing Installation log, it seems to me that it is missing when the installed package has no additional rpm output (e.g., when testing with qtoctave). When there is additional rpm output (as for gvim), the log contains only this output; the line containing "Installing <package> (installed size <size>)" is missing.
