And what I have found out through my investigation, other maintainers of tremulous in other Linux distributions and with upstream is seems this bug cannot be solved by a "simple" patch. So if you want a quick fix use the 32-bit verions of tremulous as this bug only exist in the 64-bit version. This bug will be fixed in the 1.2 release which doesn't have a defined release date yet. But a beta is out. And is not compatible with 1.1 as the protocol have been changed.
