Kopete shows a picture with white and black random lines.
Should be fixed since libv4l is now mandatory for Kopete (KDE 4.4.3+). See bug 501959. (In reply to comment #14)
Got it working with kde4-kopete with LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib64/libv4l/v4l1compat.so kopete
(In reply to comment #15)
It works with Skype if I change architecture of V4l1 to i586 and start Skype with LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype but then Kopete doesn't show video and I had to uninstall vlc.
Please use the latest in-kernel version of the gspca-spca561 driver (V4L1 is deprecated !). (In reply to comment #0)
In Kopete/KDE3 no webcam shows up under settings. It should show detected webcam.
KDE3 is no longer maintained.
In Kopete/KDE4 clicking on video under configure either causes whole system to freeze or causes a imidiate reboot (crash).
Tracked as bug 167011 at bugs.kde.org: fixed in KDE 4.5 So the Kopete part of this bug report is resolved. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
