http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=918463 Bug ID: 918463 Summary: Building initrd with dracut Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: 13.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 13.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: t.wagner@inode.at QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 623739 --> http://bugzilla.suse.com/attachment.cgi?id=623739&action=edit dracut.log After upgrading from 13.1 to 13.2 I tried to build a initrd with the new infrastructure. The custom kernel was unchanged and booted with a initrd which was build with mkinitrd from 13.1 distro. The system is running on physical hardware providing a xen hypervisor. If I try to boot with the created initrd the rootfs cannot be found. A screenshot is attached. zeus:/boot # dracut initrd_3.18.7.img Executing: /usr/bin/dracut initrd_3.18.7.img dracut module 'plymouth' will not be installed, because command 'plymouthd' could not be found! dracut module 'plymouth' will not be installed, because command 'plymouth' could not be found! *** Including module: bash *** *** Including module: warpclock *** *** Including module: i18n *** *** Including module: convertfs *** *** Including module: ifcfg *** *** Including module: kernel-modules *** *** Including module: resume *** *** Including module: rootfs-block *** *** Including module: terminfo *** *** Including module: udev-rules *** Skipping udev rule: 91-permissions.rules Skipping udev rule: 80-drivers-modprobe.rules *** Including module: systemd *** *** Including module: usrmount *** *** Including module: base *** *** Including module: fs-lib *** *** Including module: shutdown *** *** Including module: suse *** *** Including modules done *** *** Installing kernel module dependencies and firmware *** *** Installing kernel module dependencies and firmware done *** *** Resolving executable dependencies *** *** Resolving executable dependencies done*** *** Hardlinking files *** *** Hardlinking files done *** *** Stripping files *** *** Stripping files done *** *** Generating early-microcode cpio image *** *** Constructing GenuineIntel.bin **** *** Store current command line parameters *** Stored kernel commandline: root=/dev/sda2 nomodeset resume=/dev/sda1 splash=silent showopts tmem resume=UUID=9676c652-25e6-4441-a860-a0976c43635e root=UUID=78b6fb45-815c-4b6e-8b1c-7812d930e358 rootflags=rw,relatime, data=ordered rootfstype=ext4 *** Creating image file *** *** Creating image file done *** -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
