[Bug 1157881] mount.nfs improve error reporting: "Connection *WHERE*TO* timed out"
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1157881 https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1157881#c1 Neil Brown <nfbrown@suse.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |IN_PROGRESS --- Comment #1 from Neil Brown <nfbrown@suse.com> --- I thought I had responded to this ... obviously not. Sorry. This is actually easier to fix than I at first thought. I've sent a patch upstream. I'll merge it into Tumbleweed .... sometime. https://lore.kernel.org/linux-nfs/167997198028.8106.1574926503489095936@nobl... The systemd problem sounds credible but I would need to check details. I suspect that some unit is seen by Systemd as "Requiring" a number of mounts. If one of them fails, then the main unit is considered to have failed. In that case the other mounts are obviously not needed any more. Generally NFS mounts should be "Wanted", not "Required". Do you happen to remember if these mounts were simply listed in /etc/fstab, or if they were described some other way? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
