The sound related buttons are without any function. You are not able to mute the sound in e.g. kde through pushing the mute button or change the volume using the related buttons. Just the info and presentation keys are not triggering any event, right? I advice you to handle this with separate bug reports. One which handles the issues of your desktop environment and one for the missing events. Danny, regarding the later issue: as hp-wmi seems to work (Christian gets unknown scan code events in /var/log/messages) we just need to add some fdi magic for those, right?
