[Bug 916889] New: Kontact summary doesn't show special dates
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=916889 Bug ID: 916889 Summary: Kontact summary doesn't show special dates Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: 13.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 13.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications Assignee: kde-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: cyrus-tc@web.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- On openSUSE 13.2 x64 (latest updates odver standard repos) with KDE 4.14.4 the Kontact component "Special dates (in german we called "Anstehende besondere Termine")" for the summary page doesn't show anything. I have a lot of contacts with birthdays on the next days in my kadressbook but on this page no one appears on it. Although a month has set to display. I tested the function also on a out-of-box system and here's the same. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

You mean the complete "modul" is obsolete or replaced by the "upcoming events" in addition with the dav-ressource for birthdays?
No, I mean that with the introduction of Akonadi, the whole calendar handling is different. E.g. there's a dedicated "Birthdays and Anniversaries" resource now to handle your contacts' birthdays and anniversaries, whereas this was handled by the standard calendar resource before. I think not everything (those summary modules in particular) has been completely adapted to the "new" (well, actually KDEPIM switched to Akonadi in 4.7 already whereas it was used for contacts since 4.5 even IIRC) situation, so not all options work as they should and/or used to. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
