In fact, the section under Preferences -> General Options is empty. Webcamoid 9.1.1 and, e.g., Kamoso work just fine. $ lsusb ... It seems to be the update of Webcamoid from 9.1.1 to 9.2.3, but this cannot be done without pulling ~260 library updates. (And if you do just that, login after reboot will fail, so better do the complete system update.) With 9.2.3, Video sources are empty, not even the "Screen" input that causes the funny and useless recursive screen capture.
