This causes the action to be terminated prematurely, which means that not all available packages are listed. The fix would be to add a line in /usr/lib/pkgconfig/libffi.pc like the following: Description: Foreign Function Interface library After adding this line, "pkg-config --list-all" successfully lists all available packages.
