[Bug 393674] New: ntp: /etc/init.d/ ntp start hangs if network is not available
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=393674 Summary: ntp: /etc/init.d/ntp start hangs if network is not available Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Beta 3plus Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Booting AssignedTo: jsrain@novell.com ReportedBy: teheo@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- SL110 ntp boot script now unconditionally calls ntptimeset before start. If the network is not up yet, this hangs the booting for quite some time. Another problem is that this happens before the ntp script prints that ntp is starting so it's pretty difficult to tell what's going on. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
