[Bug 332336] New: gnu/pgp sig created using content-type: multipart/ digest RFC 1847 says use multipart/signed
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=332336 Summary: gnu/pgp sig created using content-type: multipart/digest RFC 1847 says use multipart/signed Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Evolution AssignedTo: bnc-team-evolution@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dbahi@novell.com QAContact: lakhil@novell.com Found By: --- evo is not rfc compliant for pgp signed msg generation http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc1847.html as it is in SLED10 and SP1 (evolution 2.6), and openSUSE10.3 (2.12) when using the groupwise / SOAP mailbox and pgp security signing - evo generates messages using: Content-Type: multipart/digest; boundary="=-hPMyyRjqrpnALZvjfGY1" when it should be generating messages (like this from thunderbird) using: Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="------------enig6E81C6511322576F0B3EF5B3" this is a major PITA - as all sigs are seen as attachments instead of getting the quick helpful graphic with a seal / green or broken seal / red graphic. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

This has been *new* for almost 9 months. I am using the groupwise server... And pgp signing... And it is still broken in openSuSE 11.0 Can someone please accept this as something that needs work? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

May be ? Try sending and receiving a new mail which is PGP signed. If the problem still persists, "File->save as " and attach the message in both IMAP and GroupWise.
