[Bug 635052] New: Invalid options to mke2fs
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=635052 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=635052#c0 Summary: Invalid options to mke2fs Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: System Imaging AssignedTo: ms@novell.com ReportedBy: pzb@novell.com QAContact: adrian@novell.com CC: cthiel@novell.com Found By: Development Blocker: Yes When running kiwi on SLES10, it fails to create any ext[234] filesystems because the calls to mke2fs contain ambiguous parameters. Specifically, there are two parameters that are problematic: -t means something completely different on SLES10 and SLES11. Upstream e2fsprogs changed the meaning in different versions. The portable way to set the filesystem type is using ARGV[0]. If mke2fs is called as "mkfs.ext3" (or mkfs.ext2 or mkfs.ext4) it will automatically create that kind of filesyetem. -T has also changed over time. Older versions of mke2fs only allow three values "news", "largefile", and "largefile4". These are rarely used and should should not be used with kiwi at all. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
