Result: No desktop effects, no glx-extentions installed. Did you also add the X11:XGL repo in addition to NVIDIA? You should be able to install Nvidia drivers, simple-ccsm, compiz-fusion, whatever plugins you want, and fusion-icon. no, as it was not described in the Wiki
You should be able to install Nvidia drivers, simple-ccsm, compiz-fusion, whatever plugins you want, and fusion-icon.
Dont get me wrong: *I* can easily manage to get it up and running, but I'm about to convince some blond girls that 11.0 is a valuable alternative to the pre-installed Vista ;-) And looking at it from the perspective of an unexperienced user there is a lot of information missing. Compared to ubuntu or knoppix the 3D installation is far too complicated in openSUSE
Simple-CCSM is located within Control Panel -> Look and Feel -> Desktop Effects this is for gnome desktop, not sure about KDE4 control panel.
I think KDE4 uses the gnome panel as well (I'm not at the mentioned machine, so I cant check for the moment). I can combine it with my other tasks for Gnome enhancement. It's also my experience that the setup is not so easy as described often.
