I hope something new is know now. I would like to add that I have now connected a HP TFT monitor which operates at 1280x1024@60Hz but again a default installation results in no image (just a black screen), but not after complaining that the wrong resolution/input mode is set and that I need to change is to 1280x1024@60Hz, before it suspends. Switching to terminal mode CTRL+ALT+F1 works, but any attempt to run "sax2 -r" will fail, resulting in the same black screen. Only way to get a normal image is to use the xorg.conf.install created at installation. Installing, or trying to setup the ati fglrx drivers also results in a black screen at bootup. It is an office machine, I don't need fancy graphics ... but it would be nice if my system would have some form of graphics 'out-of-the-box' without me hacking into it :). I have read other ATI Radeon XPRESS 200 users (other than the 5974) reporting that it works, what's so different about this card? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
