[Bug 1107617] udev: fix default value of udev.children-max
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1107617 http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1107617#c22 Franck Bui <fbui@suse.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |martin.wilck@suse.com Flags| |needinfo?(martin.wilck@suse | |.com) --- Comment #22 from Franck Bui <fbui@suse.com> --- Martin, I finally cooked up a patch that you can find here: https://github.com/fbuihuu/systemd/commits/udev-tune-children-max It's based on the discussion we had so far and you will see that the commit message is mostly based on your explanations. Therefore I think it would be fair if I add your SoB in the commit message at least. Simply tell me your preferences. You'll see that I restored a scale factor of 2 and instead of increasing 'K' as you suggested, I preferred increasing the CPU offset from 8 to 16 because having 32 workers on very small systems (CPUs=1 and RAM <= 512Mo) might not be a good idea. I also added an absolute maximum of 2048 for now. It would be nice if you could have look at the patch before I submit it to upstream. Thanks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
