[Bug 374225] New: Xfce desktop selected at installation but not invoked
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=374225 Summary: Xfce desktop selected at installation but not invoked Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Factory Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Xfce AssignedTo: bnc-team-xfce@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rodneyp@pcug.org.au QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer Created an attachment (id=204180) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=204180) YaST2 log Installation dialogue for selecting desktop provides the option "xfce". If this is selected, the installed opensuse boots to XDM login screen, which provides no option to change session. A login will start fvwm2. If yast->system->/etc/sysconfig module is used to change default wm to "xfce4-session", "xfce4" or "xfce" the file /etc/sysconfig/windowmanger is altered accordingly. However, a reboot & login still starts fvwm2. The only effective work around is to create a .xinitrc file for each user. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
