This can be verified. Despite the crash, Synaptiks can be restarted immediately without problem. KDE version 4.8.5 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Put system in Suspend 2. Resume 3. Observe KdE Crash Handler window, verify by inspecting running services in right of panel bar. 4. Can restart immediately if you wish. Actual Results: Synaptiks crashes. Expected Results: Synaptiks like any other "Service" should shut down gracefully during a Suspend, then restart when the Session resumes. Although I would guess that this likely can be addressed as an individual bug, I suspect though that a better, more complete solution should be implemented in KDE Suspend process. If all running processes displayed in the right of the main panel are properly enumerated when they are initially placed there, I should think that should provide an automatic and self-updating list of Services that should be shutdown and restarted gracefully during Suspend. For that reason, although Synaptiks itself likely belongs to another "component" I am suggesting in this bug that it be passed to KDE.
