[Bug 1045884] New: Snapper section of the Reference guide should mention default mounted snapshots
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1045884 Bug ID: 1045884 Summary: Snapper section of the Reference guide should mention default mounted snapshots Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.2 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Documentation Assignee: fs@suse.com Reporter: a.accioly@7rtc.com QA Contact: fs@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- In section 3.3 System Rollback by Booting from Snapshots https://doc.opensuse.org/documentation/leap/reference/html/book.opensuse.ref... It may be worth to mention that after running sudo snapper rollback the default subvolume for root will re replaced with a fresh rw snapshot. Plus, it would probably be a good idea to instruct the user to write a proper description for the snapshot (see the rollback manpage at http://snapper.io/manpages/snapper.html), I would recommend: "New file system root since [DATE TIME] rollback". In section 3.5.4 Deleting Snapshots https://doc.opensuse.org/documentation/leap/reference/html/book.opensuse.ref... It should be mentioned that deleting the current default subvolume snapshot is not allowed. In fact, the default subvolume snapshot should be grayed out in YaST Snapper GUI. snapper delete should also return a more specific error message if the user tries to delete it.
