The reason seems to be the libcairo2 library. The libcairo2-1.12.16-3.1.3 installed in 13.1 makes the same problem as the one in 12.3 Workaround: Install opensuse 12.2's libcairo2-1.10.2-14.1.3 and libpng14.so.14 (uninstall libcairo2-1.12.16-3.1.3 before) But this cannot be a permanent solution, because the old libcairo2 makes problems with other applications Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open nxclient 2. login to an opensuse 13.1 machine 3. start firefox, thunderbird, acroread, ......
