Do we need the link itself or can we change the java_sdk_exports and java_sdk_1.6.0_exports symlinks to point to %jvmjardir which Michal changed to %{_jvmjardir}/%{sdkdir} (which is now: /usr/lib64/jvm-exports/java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.2_b09/ ) instead? With Michal's last change the rpm install (in this case an update because openjdk builds with itself) at the end of the pacakge build failed (he explained this in a mail which I just saw now): Preparing packages for installation... java-1_6_0-openjdk-1.2_b09-1 java-1_6_0-openjdk-devel-1.2_b09-1 error: unpacking of archive failed on => file /usr/lib64/jvm-exports/java-1.6.0-openjdk: cpio: rename failed - Is a directory java-1_6_0-openjdk-demo-1.2_b09-1 java-1_6_0-openjdk-src-1.2_b09-1 java-1_6_0-openjdk-javadoc-1.2_b09-1 java-1_6_0-openjdk-plugin-1.2_b09-1 failed to install rpms, aborting build Since aj's build fix removed the directory which made the rpm update which you see above fail, we can now re-add the same path but now as a directory like Michal wanted, but it had to be one as a two-step process, it was not possible in one direct change (except with the help of a hackish preinstall script maybe). Anyway, this issue is fixed by my submission. (and the broken jvm-exports symlinks are fixed) The osc build command built swamp_svn/swap_beta.spec and succeeded with success.
