I guess we want to simply comment out the code in reload_proxy_settings(). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The patch comprises with the part for gpk-update-viewer and the part for gpk-update-icon. So we have to split the patch at least. 'g-s-d updates' is not like gpk-update-icon which pops up a dialog to show every error message. Instead, 'g-s-d updates' shows a notification to start gpk-update-viewer when an error occurs and lets gpk-update-viewer to show the error message to the user. If we abandon the part for gpk-update-icon (g-s-d updates), the work flow for DEP_RESOLUTION_FAILED becomes: g-s-d updates -> notification to start gpk-update-viewer -> gpk-update-viewer -> yast update The advantage is no modification and no extra strings in g-s-d. The disadvantage is the the user has to start gpk-update-viewer before starting yast update. gnome-packagekit-fate302445.patch (start smolt)
Considering that smolt was removed from Factory in Oct 2012 => patch considered obsolete (there is no smolt to start). gnome-packagekit-BNC383261.patch is open for considerations (but I would honestly not even see the entry point for this at this moment... 2 years down the road since we need them rebased and nobody is missing the feature.. sounds like a drop candidate) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
