[Bug 1188685] Improper default configuration of Realtek ALC 233 (used by Lenovo m920sff)
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1188685 https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1188685#c5 --- Comment #5 from Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.com> --- Could you try to install the recent upstream kernel from OBS Kernel:stable:Backport repo, and check whether the problem persists? http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/stable:/Backport/standard/ Just download kernel-default-5.13.*.rpm, and install it manually. Note that Secure Boot wont' work with this kernel. If the same problem still exists, we need to hunt for the bug, and better to report to the upstream via sof-project github issues. BTW, YaST2 sound configuration is nowadays a pretty obsoleted feature, rather harmful to use on modern systems due to being error-prone. I'm considering to propose either giving a warning dialog or dropping it. Another note: when you run alsamixer to access the raw ALSA device, pass either -c with a card number (e.g. 0) or -Dhw:0. Otherwise it's routed to PulseAudio via pulse plugin. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
